EXTRACT FROM THE BOOK
"Since I was a child, I believed the worst thing possible would be to spend eternity in hell. Frankly, the horrendous nature of hell itself was not a consideration. Nor do I give it much thought now, in the twilight of my years. Rather, it is contemplating spending forever apart from God that terrifies me. He was then, and is now, such an integral part of my life that the thought of separation is simply too much to even consider.

It wasn’t until I reached middle-age that I realised I was wrong; spending eternity in hell isn’t the worst thing that can happen to a person. Having watched the ever-increasing moral decline in society the last 50 years, coupled with the capitulation to secular humanism by many churches, I came to understand Satan’s greatest deception, his "triumph", will be, not garnering evil souls to populate his dominion (as that is easy), but rather populating his kingdom with as many deceived Christians as possible. But how can that be? - Jesus said, And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28) As Christ never misspoke, we know that when we are saved our salvation is protected from all but our own free will. But what if we’re not saved? What if we only think we’re saved? Here is where Satan’s false teachers cast their nets. For the time will come when they mill not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they reap into themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ars from the truth, and shall be turned into fables, (II Timothy 4:3-4).

Those doing Satan’s work, knowingly or unwittingly, cannot blatantly say we have the freedom to sin, as such honesty would expose their lie for what it is, an obvious attempt to deceive, with salvation being the lost prize. No, what is required is a way to make Christians believe they are instead sanctified in their disobedience. Being comfortable on our sins is not enough. The lies must have the appearance of holiness and an inner, "higher" understanding of God’s intentions. To that end have come the many forms of spiritual antinomianism (def: being against the law) that state in dangerous misdirection that God’s scriptural law need not be the controlling factor in the lives of those who profess to believe."
